Excellent Silk and Wool Ersari Tent Band (Complete) 50 ft., 8 in by 1 ft., 7 in.
Judging from its wear and appearance, this tent band adorned a tent somewhere in the Middle Amu Darya Valley in Central Asia. It was made in the first part of the 20th century and is still in very good condition. It is all complete including fringe and tassels on both ends. There are a few small places where repairs have been made. The most obvious repair is shown in photos 9 and 10 which shows the front and back side, it seems they were done as needed by the original user. In some areas the silk details are a bit worn (photo 8) i believe this also is from its intended use as a tent band.
