This is the first compact reprint of Emil Schmutzler’s famous book. It was meant to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the famous work altorientalische teppiche in siebenbÜrgen (pubblished by Hiersemann from Leipzig in 1933). The book was printed in 35 copies, with digital technology on special cotton woven paper. The color plates, scanned after the original and reduced by 20%, are very close to the original. The hard covers are done in textile in the style of the original as well.  The new version includes the English translation of Schmutzler’s text + his biography written by his grand son.
