Hta-mein : traditional Burmese Luntaya Acheiq (100 Shuttles interlocking tapastry weave technique) wrap around skirt for a girl. Bright pink color is now sombre nicely with age. Silk with cotton waist band and lining. Excellent condition with original lining. No color running at all. It is rare to have come across the piece for small children such as this one. As this type of textile is highly prized, the owner was definitely born into a wealthy family. Est.age early 20th century.
