Moroccan (?) rug, 4.9 x 8.4, first quarter 20th c. It has full pile with very slight even wear. The knot is symmetrical on yellow-dyed wool warps with 2-4 shoots of yellow-dyed wool weft. The selvedge is made up of 6 cords. The black is undyed natural wool. All the colors appear natural, although the small amounts of aubergine has slight tip fading. This is an unusual and highly decorative collector's piece.
