Oversized Lavar Kirman Carpet, ca. 1875, 9'10" x 14'10". Wool pile on cotton foundation; 270 Persian knots per square inch (18 x 15). Beautiful natural colors, including the shaded camel/olive field, rich concord grape borders and persimmon highlights. Some foundation visible, a few small holes, minor moth areas front and back, but plenty of luxurious original length pile in the borders. Soft, clean, no splits, no hardness, no cracking.
