Qashqa’i khordjin, south west Persia, second half 19th century, cm 77x72. a superb bagface with bit of condition issues. Having been used as upholstery (!), it is now missing corners as you one can see from secondary images. Additionally, it has some moth damage in lower part, otherwise the pile is thick and close to original, and it had been professionally cleaned. Despite all that, this is - in my own opinion - a very fine khorjin with superb colours, great wool and quite an uncommon design. Rare and definitively shabby chic.
