Spectacular block printed hanging from North india late 19c. this tapestry shows the late return of the Mughal period design that was popular in the eighteenth century. There is a typical mughal tree of life under a central mihrab and several smaller harlequin arches and little birds in shades of green yellow, green, tan, red and black (vegetal dye). Fully lined with cotton satin orange. Very good condition. Measures: 330 cm x 154 cm. Remarkable state of preservation and bright colors. It never saw the sun.
