Tekke 3'1" x 7'1", circa 1885 Ivory and grey non-depressed goat's hair warp with two shoots of brown wool weft between each row of asymetrical knots. It is dyed with a wide range of saturated vegetable dyes, has a fine soft wool and is in excellent condition with with good pile and original kelim ends.It has an unusual main border with a repeating design that changes from the sides to the ends. In the side borders are groups of boxex, flower heads, weaving combs and chevron bands with flower heads, ram's horns and unusual devices inside the boxex.
