a very fine antique Millfleurs Qasgai rug. Probably part silk wefted. The piece is particularly colourful and very well drawn. It has fine shiny wool and generally good dyes, although the red is the one commonly used in these pieces and is probably synthetic, there are traces of bleed in one or two places on the reverse, but one has to look hard to find it. It is in very good condition, even low pile all over, a few small scattered repairs, but nothing to worry about. Late 19th century. 206cm x 121cm.
