We are trying to find out more about this old cloak. It was in our parents estate. It is hand woven. Different experts have called it Moroccan, Iraquian, Kurdish. We don't know. It is made from two long pieces of woven goat or sheep hair sewn together and folded in to make the cloak. Then embelished with bright design. The story is, the cloak is so tightly woven that, if in the desert, you can wrap in it and it will protect you from the cold or sand storm. We would also like to find a good home for this piece, either to sell or place in a museum. We do not know how much the cloak is worth. The price given is an estimate only.
price:  $2000.00
