#6683 Antique Khotan Rug
This 19th century Khotan measures 6’0” x 10’5”. It has a salmon colored field containing a standing urn with a pomegranate tree growing out of it. The corners are worked in lotus blossoms. The inner border contains a ghostly meandering flower head design. The secondary border has a meandering vine and flower head design on a peach ground. The outer border has a coin design. This rug has excellent pile. There is a small reweave in the extreme edges from probably 100 years ago. It is clean and ready to go. It is a stunning example of nomad art.
