An antique 'Hadji Jalili' Tabriz carpet fragment, 5ft x 2.85ft (153 x 87 cm.) circa 1870-1880. The pale blue ground with arabesque, garrus type of floral design with rust brown tendrils. Typical Hadji Jalili subdued colour palette with pale blue, soft ocre and abrashed mid-blues. This rug has been assembled from a larger carpet and has been skilfully cut and shut in several places.
