Chamba Rumaal. A Rumaal hand-embroidered in the typical style of Chamba, Himchal Pradesh, India This Rumaal depicts Krishna a Raas-Leela with Gopis and floral patterns all over. The figures are particularly well defined here. There are three patches in the Rumaal that have been repaired with fragments of other Chamba Rumaals. This repair was present when the item came in my possession. This embroidery is distinctive in its style with its characteristic two-sided design with vibrant colours. Please note that the final picture is of the flip side of the Rumaal.
