a wonderful example of Mochi embroidery from Kutch, Gujarat. This yellow satin silk wedding coat is beautifully decorated in chain stitch all over to depict parrots and floral motifs. The front pocket has a triangular lapel that folds in. There is some very minor tearing to the silk, as corresponding with its age, that's mostly in the underarms area (pictured).
