Four Vintage Japanese Cotton Plaids. Bought in Japan in the 1970s - probably older. Were used for futon covers. Machine woven in lovely shades - #17, 18, and 19 have an ombre effect. All selvedges intact. #16: 44" x 13,75" (very good condition except for a dark line running down center of reverse side - not visible on front); #17: 42.5" x 13.5" very good condition; #18: 44" x 13.5" has two small patches on back, tiny hole, and very slight discoloration; #19: 43" x 13" very good condition.
