Joyful 'Sauj Bulagh' kurdish tribal rug, North-west Persia, 19th century, Soft & lustros wool, wide variety of striking deep colors lightning on undyed camel hair (!) background ... honest, rural character, different than most of the workshop pieces from that area. Cheerful, creative drawing with a lot of movement and dynamic. Besides some corrosion to the dyed brown wool within the güls, the piece is in perfect condition with great pile all over.
