This rare carpet with a nomadic-looking pattern, brown-red ground and border drawing is, according to structure and colours, probably a very old Qashqa’i work. The carpet was made at a time when the Qashqa’i were still using their traditional ornaments and compositions even for larger knotted pieces, i.e., from the pre-commercial period. Signs of age and wear, missing parts, low pile. Renewed selvedges, both ends somewhat reduced. Rare, early collector’s item.Dimensions:300x155cm
