s.w. Persian Khamseh bagfaces, Circa 1880. Hard to photograph these remarkable Gul Ferang design bagfaces. The wool is just too shiny. In addition to the lustrous quality of the wool, the softness of the pile is extraordinary. The drawing of the flowers is more refined than in many pieces sharing this design, and the colors are rich and saturated. Both have undetectable repairs to the corners. Sizes approx. 22"x 24". There are few examples to be found of this quality.
