Tampan with unusual design: a single human like figure on a boat with above a dynamic atmosphere with spirals and animals (birds). It's a ceremonial textile from Sumatra. 19th century. Size 65 x 83 cm/ 26 x 33.5 inches. Handspun cotton and natural dyes. The piece is complete with no restorations. a few very tiny holes and some slightly stains as usual. The overall appearance is good.
