Turkmen "Turreted"/Pendi Göl rug, 100x150cm, soft wool, very fine graphic weaving, pile is full except on some parts, where it was folded, no repair, original selvages and kilim ends, perfect saturated light and deep blues, greens, ivory-highlights are also made of wool, no cotton. iranian? göklan? djaffarbai? yomud, absolutely unusual as it has Tekke-like design with "Turreted"/Pendi gul main field, these gül types are usually used for torba and for a rug... then waht was it made for?! until now nobody could say anything certain about this rug, so i'll be thankful for any information! Definitely a rare, unusual and worty piece for any kind of turkmen collection.
take a look around my other pieces on sale for very reasonable prices:http://rugrabbit.com/profile/5160
