Shahsavan mafrash, 2 sides with connecting stripe panel, (one piece). Circa 4th Qtr 19th c. Size; large double panel with connecting soumach kelim, 56" x 42". One single end panel available too. 17" x 21". Soumach panels are in excellent condition with no repair at all, a couple dime size reweaves to the stripe kelim panel. There are some opinions out there that this group are more northern in origin than one would normally call "Shahsavan". If this is the case than a Kazak provenance would also be a possibility? You should "download the original image", in order to see the actual colors.... much brighter and clearer than in these images!
