Old Turkish Konia, 3 ft 8 x 5 ft 4 inches. So called Konia-Ladik (i guess because of the tulip motifs). You can fit what i know about Turkish rugs on the head of a Lepton. i am guessing this is 19th century early/middle/late...??? (i won't guess). The wool is soft; general feel is supple. Plenty of photos from which you can discern the condition. Obviously soome areas of pile mia; but this rug is pristine: i see no evidence it was ever muddled up with any repair-- whatsoever. That in itself is a miracle.
