Back
Here is a lovely old Chodor embroidered baby bonnet. Embroidered in six
different colors of silk, black and white, yellow, red and two shades of green
a dark green and an almost olive green (created by the blue fading over time, leaving a very yellow green, which is often found in Chodor embroidery). The bonnet measures 5 1/2" from front to back, 6 1/2" top to bottom in the back and 6 1/2" wide. Classic Chodor embroidery motifs, a great Russian cotton print inner lining and there is even a faded blue cotton tie string sewn into the front corners.
The hat is in very good condition except that there is a 3 1/4" cut in the
top back of the hat - see my last photo. This has been poorly sewn but could
be better repaired making it much less obvious. i am pricing this piece
VERY reasonably due to the cut.
