High ranking Tibetan young Childs dress boots. Made of silk appliqué and embroidered fabric, they measure just 5" long in the sole and a total of 6 1/2" tall. They are beautifully made and in very good condition with one small spot of wear which was probably in the fabric when they were made, as the boots look as though they may never have been worn, or if they were worn the child was carried (this is most evident by the unblemished condition of the soles of the boots, which are again made of stitched fabric. Probably late 19th. Century, possibly older as fabrics can last for a long time in the high cold climate of Tibet.
