Good antique Turkmen main carpet. Ersari field motifs. Colours: raspberry red abrashed main field ( not clearly represented by all featured photos ), light blue, dark blue, sea green, yellow, white, brown, rust red, blue/black.
Condition: selvedges redone - see photos, one cobbled repair - see photos, overall even low pile with one minor stain in field - see photos.
Age: with one wide, striped kilim end intact and the other end secured, this indicates an age of roughly 100 years or older.
This carpet is in excellent condition for use and looks stunning in natural light with an attractive abrashed raspberry main field, this colour is not very clear in the photos shown. Despite minor issues of condition, this carpet would make a wonderful furnishing / display item in any home or showroom.
