Central Asian sleeping rug, 5'4' x 6'3". This dramatic and colorful rug was reportedly purchased from Baluchi tribesmen in the area between Quetta and Kandahar. It was woven to be used as a sleeping rug and shows similarities to Persian gabbehs. There are approximately 4 to 6 wefts between each row of symmetrical knots. The wool is long and glossy and in excellent condition. All dyes are rich and natural. The back of the rug is charming as well.
