The first of a pair of antique baluch so called "octagon" bagfaces with an unusual design feature i have not seen before. The field motifs surrounding the center medallion change from top to bottom, presenting an almost sampler like appearance. Subtle but no accident. All natural colors. Overall mostly pretty good pile with some brown oxidation. a number of scattered tiny old poor repairs, most finger nail size or smaller. Original sides, some kelim and closure tabs at one end, some end unravelling. Needs a good wash. One of an original pair, both listed separately.
