Special extra large antique Kantha quilt in great condition. 75 x 51 inches. Full of joyful whimsy with various peacocks sitting in the tops of potted flowers and/or trees. White thread running quilting stitch throughout. Will look dramatic draped across the back of a sofa or spotlit on the wall. Photos were take in somewhat dappled sunlight. Has not been ironed or washed. Bengal is known for its fine Kantha work made from cotton cloth that is quilted and embroidered with cotton thread and lots of running stitches.
