indian kani weave blue kashmir shawl 19c Amazing turquoise center and breathtaking very thin weaving with ten colors !. It is a technological and artistic force with three pointed cartridges on each side of the shawl. Please note the graphical overlay interlacing which could be likened to a real firework of colors . Very thin weaving, as remarkable as front and back side. Good condition. Dimensions: 144 cm x 320 cm.
Note this is not a patchwork work but the shawl is only woven into six parts. An extraordinary piece so rare, one among a hundred found !.The colors are very fresh but there is a slight discoloration visible on the half turquoise reserve. Many moth holes but the blue reserve remained intact. The general structure of the shawl with its tight weave is still excellent.More information on my website by clicking http://villa-rosemaine.com/en/bourse/pieces/extraordinary-indian-kani-we...
