Gold Zari embroidered scalet shawl - India Punjab 19c. Long wool shawl/stole in scarlet red pashmina embroidered with gold zari . Vermilion red wool twill embroidered at each end of nine boteh on wool background harlequin red , turquoise, purple and green. Thin lateral borders in gold trimmings sewn to the shawl. The Red reserve called Hashias, has four spandrels in shape of boteh and a small signature black and white in a corner. Very good condition and color. Dimensions: 265 cm x 106 cm.
As is often the case, this shawl has a dozen of very tiny small moth holes hardly remarkable. a small slit of one cm in reserve.
