Later (1943-44) someone (probably a Mrs. Ripley of Poultney, vt) used it as a scrapbook. There are approximately 228 pages of which slightly over 100 are clean and legible original entries - the rest have clippings, cards, photographs, etc, pasted over the ledger entries.
