This fine Yomut main carpet is drawn with fantastic scale. Large chuval guls dominate the field while leaving appropriate spacing for the chemche minors. The columns of ornament are fluid as gul size organically shifts back and forth from larger to smaller renderings. The border is in perfect balance with the filed and maintains its scale and spacing. Color is of particular merit using several shades of green. 6'0"x10'0" mid 19th century. Condition is generally good but there is an old repair in the bottom quarter of a gul in the lower center column.
