Large 4 metre long 19th century Aksaray dowry kilim, perhaps from the Taspinar area, with su yolu running water border. Striking asymmetry of design between the two halves and interesting variations in dye ingredients/colours employed by the two respective weavers. In original condition with no repairs, some corrosion to dark brown/wear to weft and a couple of holes marks in accordance with age.
