Afghanistan Ersari tribe dowry rug 106 x 99 cm (3ft 6" x 3ft 4")(incl kilim) 1930's natural dyes with synthetic highlights colours: red, dark blue, pinkish red (fading aniline), brown, dark brown, yellow, white, green condition: excellent, full pile (very minor moth damage, see last pic), original triple wound goathair selvedges perfect, original kilim endings complete and intact (secured), no problems whatsoever technicals: asymmetrical knotting open to the left, warps: greyish counterclockwise handspun wool 2 threads twined clockwise, wefts: 2 strands of fine brown handspun wool, few knots of cotton
