Superb Antique Shirvan 182 x 130 cm (6ft 1" x 4ft 4") late 19th/ early 20th century all natural dyes colours: blue, red, white, brown, green, ocre condition: very good, evenly low pile all over (few neglectable spots of light wear, see pics), original 8 shaped cotton selvedges in perfect condition, lower kilim finishing mostly remaining with original closed loop warps, upper kilim finishing partly remaining and minor loss (see pics), few minor wrinkles, no restorations, no problems technicals: symmetrical knotting slightly depressed, warps: counterclockwise spun ivory and brown wool twined clockwise, warps: two strands of handspun cotton finishings: upper end: cotton wefted kilim finsihed with warps knotted together (partly remaining), lower end: cotton wefted kilim with closed looped warps (partly intact)
