An exceptional 19th century Anatolian Konya kilim with beautiful colours from natural dyes, including reds derived from cochineal and an unusually good aubergine. The dying and weaving skills displayed are masterly as is the varied use of colours in the border motifs. In excellent overall condition with barely visible small holes in the top corners from use as a wall hanging for several decades.
