Early Baluch rug, probably from 3rd Qtr 19th Century or earlier. Unusual white field background filled with tiny botehs. Soft thin floppy handle. Low pile throughout and some oxidation of browns. Exhibits some similarities with early rug images found in Siawosch Azadi's book, "Carpets in the Baluch Tradition". All natural colors, but there has apparently been some blue tinting in the innermost rams-horn border as the blue has lightly bled in some areas but is not a distraction to the overall appearance of this piece.
