There is a distinctive beauty to a good Turkoman embroidery that is unlike that of their neighboring group, the Uzbek people as this exceptional example shows. It is embroidered using fine silks that are chain-stitched. The elegant design consist of four bird cross motif repeating in white and red with the negative space rendered in indigo. The way the two colour combination is arranged give the design a dynamic spiral effect that is spectacular.
