This type of carpets made from palm fibers and leather strips are traditionally used by Tuareg nomads in the Sahara region. They lie either on the ground or are used as room dividers. Often they can be found in small shops, which are usually operated by women. The carpet is in good condition according to age, showing some slight wear. It measures approximately 420 x 313 cm. (cko)
