antique small caucasian rug with an attractive design and some unusual features. Good overall pile and all natural colors including a most unusual blue ground which appears to be natural brown wool dyed blue. Also note the weaver completely changed field designs shortly after starting the rug. Original selvages. Few small scattered old rather poor repairs. Could be restored easily. Call it a rural kuba or seichour rug. Reasonably clean. good age, ca. 1875 or ealier. 3'2" x 5'5"
