Pair of Antique Turkish Oushak prayer rugs. Distressed condition, dirty and holed in places - see photos. Outer borders missing each end. Selvedges damaged. Foundation showing in places. One tatty corner
Can be washed for small fee. No evidence of moth. rug on left has has a cotton fring added top end. These two rugs are typically Oushak with wool warps and red wefts, wool on wool.
SIZE: 3' 8" x 5' 3" 110 cms x 160 cms and 3' 8" x 5' 2" or 110 cms x 157.5 cms
Despite these drawbacks this near identical pair of rugs are very attractive and would be a lovely design feature in a suitable domestic context.
