antique yellow ground kuba rug. Older example with all very good natural colors featuring a yellow/gold ground and a lovely green kufic border. Overall low even pile with heavy brown oxidation, edge roughness and a bit of old dark staining, probably ink or paint, as shown. Recent wash has left a bit of the dark staining along lower edge and residue in top corner, probably old paint or glue which with more soaking might be removed. Imperfect and priced accordingly. Fresh New England find with good age, ca. 3rd qtr. 19th c. 3'5" x 5'1"
