An Exceptional Antique Uzbek Silk on Silk Suzani / Susani from Shahrisabz which some wrongly associate to the Lakai group. On the rich silk ground there is fine chain-stitched silk embroidery . The prayer arch design is filled with beautiful floral motifs, including botehs, gols, meandering vine in a fantastic spectrum of colours. It is a very fine piece dating around late 19th Century.
