Tekheb 03 Tibetan Horse Decoration These decorate animals foreheads in Tibet. They usually have graphic designs of auspicious Buddhist symbols. Most common designs are a Pemma (flower/lotus), Norbu Memba (Flaming Wish-Fulfilling Gems) or the Kalachakra glyph. Since these are used on working livestock (horses, donkeys & yak) they tend to get badly soiled and worn, most have aniline dyes and do not survive to be ‘antique'. 8”w x 9”h - 20th c.
