a beautiful silk, mirror and metal work embroidery from Afghanistan dating to early 1900s. Unlike the textiles of other groups of Central Asia (such as Uzbeks or Turkomans) the designs and ornaments of these textiles have their own unique and archaic language. Such pieces were possibly made around ghazni region and were later embroidered on the breast part of garments. It is a pure work of textile art. The design and colours are mesmerising.
