Rare Ikat design Antique Ersari Turkoman prayer rug 110 x 87 cm (3ft 8" x 2ft 11") 1st quarter 20th century. All natural dyes, colours: red, 2nd red, ivory, dark blue, yellow, brown. condition (very) good, medium pile all over (few lower places), original selvedges in excellent state, both headends complete and intact (kilim finishings partly remaining and secured), one small dot of old dry glue (see pics). Technicals: asymmetric knotting open to the right, pile of soft and glossy wool, warps: 2 strands of clockwise twined light grey soft handspun wool, wefts: 2 shoots of handspun brown wool, floppy handle.
