South East Asia: Nice old small shoulder bag with fine silk cross stitch embroidery from the Akha hilltribe in Northern Thailand. This piece was purchased in Chiang Mai in the early 1980s and was an old piece at the time so a good estimate on the age would 50 to 60 years old. Please note this is not a patchwork tourist piece which is recognizable by different bits quilted together and having zippers etc. Except for the appliqué piping and possibly silk thread this is woven from all handspun threads. Still very sturdy and functional- vertical length including strap: 52.5cm/20.6cm and w: 30cm/12in. Free shipping via Hong Kong Registered Airmail
