pre 1900 full pile antique Ersari trapping 139 x 42 cm (4ft 8" x 1ft 5") last quarter 19th century. All dyes appear natural to me, colours brownish red, blue, green, yellow, white, orange (very slight tip fading), brown. Condition: very good, full pile all over (few knots repiled and one very minor hole stitched), original double wound selvedges in nearly perfect state, top kilim finishing in perfect state, bottom ending complete and intact (some loose knots and knots missing in the lowest row and very minor corner loss, see pics), old faded ink spot (see pics) and very minor colour run at the back of it (result of trying to get it out?). Technicals: asymmetric knotting open to the right, warps: 2 strands of grey/brown handspun wool twined clockwise, wefts: 2 shoots of fine brown wool
