Even amongst fabulous and rare antique Persian rugs, there come particular rugs which no words could describe their beauties and splendid looks. These rugs found in good condition, would have defied age and become collectable pieces. This finely woven silk and wool Persian Todeshk Nain rug is a prime example of these rare pieces. Measuring 245 x 164cm (8'x5'4") and made in the the 20th century, it has an eye catching central medallion interacting with many foliates, spandrels and floral motifs in antique white main field within similarly decorative borders in beautiful lines of red and blue silk colours. The densely woven foundation and its wool quality indicate the rug to be one of the finest from the region. It is remarkably in good condition, as seems it was well looked after.
