a very rare antique 19th Century Turkoman / Turkmen silk embroidered with silver appliqué hair piece / dorsal, made by possibly by Ersari or Chodor tribe of Central Asia . It is embroidered on the edges using fine silks on a red wool fabric ground known as Bannat. The field has an array of archaic silver appliqué pieces in shapes of Rams horns and discs. The natural colours are mind blowing and really doesn't reflect on these images. a very fine example of such genre in such a good condition. It has beautiful tassels dangling down and a lovely indigo backing. a great piece in every respect offered at a reasonable price.
